COVID-19 Update, March 25, 2020


Dear Viridian customers, stakeholders, friends and family,


The Prime Minister has asked us to stay home. The Premier has asked us to stay home. Most importantly, the Provincial Health Officer has asked us to stay home. Our community’s best defense against COVID-19 is social distancing to slow the spread, so our health care system can cope with the increasing numbers of those who are affected.


For Viridian, our social responsibility and the health, safety and well-being of our members and clients is paramount. Therefore, to reduce the chances of further community transmission and to slow the spread of COVID-19, Viridian is suspending on-site activities until further notice. Although the nature of our work (mostly outdoors, with personal space, and no physical contact with customers) is not a highrisk activity, we fully support the efforts to flatten the curve and right now everyone is best served by staying home. While this impacts all of us significantly, we believe this pause is necessary to get through this crisis as quickly and safely as possible.


We ask that all our colleagues in the trades do the same, putting the health and wellbeing of our communities first by staying home. We are reassessing our policies on a day-to-day basis and working to develop revised processes and procedures that will meet or exceed the operating standards needed in this challenging COVID-19 environment. We remain committed to protecting our employees and community when serving our clients.


Viridian Energy's project and administration team will continue working online and by phone to support clients with remote assessments, consulting, quotations, support and advice. We have a fully stocked warehouse and we will have no problem fulfilling our current and future solar projects when its time again. We look forward to continuing work with you towards a new more sustainable future!
